For people living in big cities, the constant increase of living expenses is a real headache, especially when it exceeds the growth of salaries. Therefore, to avoid financial crisis, people need to sort out ways to reduce living costs, such as finding a roommate, buying fewer electronic products and cooking at home. In my opinion, to reduce the expenditure on digital devices is a better option.

Firstly, new technology products are usually very expensive but contribute little to one’s happiness. It is true that a newly launched electronic product usually has better performance and more advanced function that facilitate people’s life and bring user friendly experience. Depending on their cutting-edged technology, companies charge a high price. However, before we make the order, it is worth thinking twice whether the so-called updated functions are indispensable. In fact, for various kinds of electronic products, they share the similar functions. It is unnecessary to waste much money on a piece of product only with slight improvement or difference. Take products of Apple as an instance. If it is not because the old iPhone 7 is lost or broken, to buy a new iPhone 8 is almost meaningless for people who are not keen on its more durable glass body and better OLED display.

Secondly, both to find a roommate and to cook at home are not feasible. For a person who gets used to live alone, to have a stranger living under the same roof is inconvenient and uncomfortable. It means one not only has to clean and reserve certain area for the new roommate, but also may have to sacrifice privacy. Moreover, it takes time to find someone who is easygoing and shares similar lifestyle. Whether the two can get along well with each is also a problem. To buy cheap food and cook at home is not a good option, as it is time consuming. When most of the time is occupied by work, people feel exhausted to shop, cook and do dishes back home, especially if one is not good at cooking. Furthermore, people cannot save much money from cooking at home when the cost of time, natural gas, electricity is added.

In summary, for above mentioned three methods to reduce living expenses, I highly recommend the friend to buy fewer electronic products, instead of sharing the house with a roommate or cooking at home.

给孩子零用钱:

1)孩子需要钱

2)学会理财

不给孩子零用钱:

1)乱花钱

范文:

Frequently, parents are placed in a dilemma on children’s pocket money: how much money should they give and how frequently should they give? It is surely not a good idea to disappoint children, but parents have the concern whether children spend the money wisely. In my mind, a better solution is to make a deal with children that they will get certain amount of pocket money weekly and then they are supposed to learn how to manage the money.

To begin with, it is natural that children need money. At school, they sometimes may feel hungry between mealtimes and want to buy food from vending machines. Or, they suddenly find that they leave their stationeries at home and need to buy a new pen and notebooks. In addition, money is also needed for children’s social activities after school, such as toys and tools. All these are reasonable causes for children to spend money. For example, most students would like to buy a bottle of cold beverage after doing sports together, especially during summer time. On the contrary, without money in pocket, a child will feel embarrassing to sit around peers holding Coca-Cola and consciously avoid such occasions even by rejecting to participate in sports activities.

Secondly, by giving certain amount of pocket money regularly, parents are able to teach children wealth management. The reason why parents are reluctant to give children money is that they doubt whether children will squander the money on useless or even harmful commodities, like junk food. To prevent children from wasting money, parents can require them to keep accounts. Moreover, as the regular pocket money is the only source of incomes, children will be encouraged to purposefully restrict their purchasing behavior and even make budgets, which is beneficial for their whole life. For instance, the habit of saving a small amount of money weekly for months to buy a desirable gift enables them to manage wealth for important investments, like automobiles and houses, after they begin to work and become financially independent. When children get accustomed to having pocket money weekly and are able to make ends meet, it is time for parents to give them money monthly.

To sum up, it is necessary for parents to give children pocket money weekly, as children need money in both school life and social life. Also, to give pocket money is an effective way to teach children how to manage wealth.

Many filmmakers make movies based on books. some people prefer to read the book before they watch the movie, while other people prefer to watch the movie before they read the book. which one do you prefer?

与今年03月04日的题目一样

范文:

Since the invention of movies about one century ago, general publics have shown extraordinary passion and enthusiasm on this way of entertainment. It is very common to find a cinema crowded with audiences coming to watch the newly launched movie starring their idols or telling a story written by a famous author. In my mind, if possible, it is more meaningful for people to read the book on which the movie is produced before going to the theater.

Admittedly, without reading the book in advance, audiences still can fully enjoy the movies. For modern citizens, time is a commonly mentioned excuse: they are too busy to spare enough time to read. As study and work has occupied most of their time, they feel even not enough time to have a rest. Also, thanks to the improvement of movie making techniques and directors’ skills, audiences usually regard watching movies as a better way to enjoy a story. For example, the movie of The Great Gatsby lasts about two hours, starring Leonardo and boasting fantastic party scenes. But, it costs people months to finish reading the book.

However, for great works of famous authors, it is definitely worthy for people to read books before watching movies. To begin with, the reading of the original story enables us to have better understanding of the movie and to assess the movie more objectively. By reading books beforehand, audiences have more information on backgrounds of events and personalities of characters. This allows people to judge whether the director and actors are successful in telling the story. Even, some authors’works are by nature very challenging for directors to film. With huge efforts, the movie is still obscure and abstruse. Without reading the book, it is unfair for audiences disappointed by the movie to criticize the author. Take Here the Wind Sing written by Haruki Murakami as an example. If audiences haven’t read the book before, they can hardly understand those behaviors of Japanese young adults and be bored by insipid trivial matters in the movie.

Secondly, the reading of the book in advance allows audiences to be more critical while watching the movie. It is unavoidable that people may have divergent interpretation of the book. Bearing in mind the story, we are able to examine whether the movie will strike a chord in our heart or enlighten us with different revelation. Especially for die-hard fans, to watch a movie based on a book of their beloved author is just like to have a discussion with the director and actors on the contents or even details. Take the movie Into the White Night based on the book of Higashino Keigo as an example. The author is very successful in depicting criminals’ mental activities and creating conflicts, while the movie emphasizes much on cruel criminal activities to catch eyeballs. By reading the original story, we even can assess whether the actor and actress is successful in shaping characters.

To sum up, although watching movies without reading original books saves people much time, it is actually much more enjoyable to read in advance.
