March Break Film Festival

What? Our annual March Break Family Friendly Film Festival returns for its 3rd year, and it just keeps getting bigger!!! This year we will be screening films at both Princess locations, giving you more options. 10 films will be screened in total, including: August Rush, Bee Movie, Enchanted, The Game Plan, The Golden Compass, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A Veggie Tales Movie, Ratatouille, The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, and the classics The Red Balloon and White Mane.

The Frog Prince

What? A spin on the classic Grimm fairy tale, “The Frog Prince,” is a laugh riot, fun for children of all ages. Even adults!!! Princess Tiffany is unhappy. She has nobody to play with. That is, until a frog named Dennis appears. They sing, and play—he even saves her from a pirate and his parrot! But Tiffany is a beautiful Princess looking for a Prince. Will she settle for a FROG instead?

Discovering Chimpanzees: The Remarkable World of Jane Goodall
When? Ongoing (Wed - Sun) until May 25, 2008
What? Discovering Chimpanzees welcomes visitors to the world of the chimpanzee through sound, visual effects and interactive displays. After passing a giant waterfall visitors will enter Gombe National Park and be transported from their urban surroundings to the jungle environment of the chimps. Through customized computers visitors can explore chimpanzee behaviour in addition to learning to walk and communicate like a chimp. Field notes, photographs, video clips and other artifacts are used to make Jane's forrty years of research come alive for visitors. Her Gombe jungle home is authentically re-created and vintage footage will take visitors on a journey through some of her most memorable and remarkable achievements.

16th Annual Maple Festival

Maple Syrup Days

What? Come experience a great Canadian tradition! Inhale the steam of boiling maple sap in our wood-fired evaporator, create maple treats in the candy house, experience a guided horse-drawn sleigh tour through our working sugar bush, savour pancakes and syrup in the pavilion. Finish off your day with a trip to the Country Store to commemorate your experience with some maple products to take home!

Maple Syrup Festival
When? March 1 to March 30 (9:30am - 3pm), weekends, and daily during March Break
What? Fresh Ontario maple syrup begins flowing at Bronte Creek Provincial Park on March 1, 2008 when the park's month-long Maple Syrup Festival gets under way. Hop on a wagon that will take you to a heated pancake house where you can enjoy fresh, hot pancakes with pure maple syrup and crisp bacon, served up throughout the festival hours. Enjoy a guided tour of the Maple Lane, where 1890s costumed interpreters demonstrate how to tap maple trees, make maple syrup and maple sugar. Visitors can sit back a watch a movie in the logging theatre, view artifacts in the maple museum or tour the 100-year-old Spruce Lane Farmhouse. Be sure to browse through the maple products and souvenirs available in the Maple Gift Shoppe and pick up a bottle of syrup to take home.

Maple Magic

What? The Museums of Mississauga will be hosting their Annual Maple Syrup Festival during March Break! Admission includes horse Drawn Wagon Rides; Tours of the Sap Line; Tours of the Historic Bradley House; Sample some Maple Candy; Crafts for Kids; First Nations: Sweet Water Camp Area; Historic Demonstrations and various activities on site! Additional activities on weekends include Forestry Bucket Rides, Carving Demonstrations & Music by Brampton Folk Club.
