ANNIE Jr. by KW Children's Drama Workshop

What? Little Orphan Annie lives in an orphanage, in 1933 New York city, when the United States is in the middle of the Great Depression. With her friends, the other orphans, Annie dreams of finding a home and loving parents. Grace Farrell, Billionaire Oliver Warbucks’ private secretary, comes to find an orphan to stay with him & the tyrannical supervisor, Miss Hannigan tries to prevent her from choosing Annie. The spunky, red-haired, Annie sets out on an awesome harum-scarum adventure with her dog Sandi, that has her turning “It’s a HardKnock Life” into “the Sun’ll Come Out Tomorrow” type of life, when she finally finds a loving home!

Free Prenatal Health Fair
When? Tuesday, June 3 from 5 - 8pm
What? Prenatal health fairs are designed for parents planning a pregnancy in the future and for parents in early pregnancy. They offer over fifty displays, mini workshops, videos, pamphlets to take home, and access to care providers who will answer your questions. Future parents will learn how a healthy pregnancy helps build a healthy baby. Prenatal Health Fairs are presented throughout Waterloo Region every four months.

Make Your Own Baby Food Workshop

Bring Your Child Session at SupperWorks!
When? Saturday, June 14 @ 1pm & June 28 @ 10am
What? Bring the little ones out to experience the fun in our kitchen! At our 'Bring Your Child' Sessions, the kids are by your side helping to scoop, mix and assemble your meals. Enjoy coffee, juice and nut-free treats while you prepare your meals together. The parents say their kids just love eating the dishes they made themselves here at SupperWorks. It will take a about an hour to make 6 full sized meals. Each meal serves 4-6 people, and can be split into 12 meals that serve 2-3 people. Due to popular demand we have added a second 'Bring Your Child' Session to each month!

Fifteenth Annual Donkey Day
What? Each year, on the second Sunday in June, the DSC hosts its annual fundraising event, Donkey Day. Thousands of donkey lovers come together from across Canada and the United States to visit the resident donkeys, learn about humane equine care and positive gentling techniques, take a donkey or pony ride, be entertained by local singers, dancers and story tellers, and lunch on a barbecue picnic at the edge of the sanctuary’s beautiful tree-lined pond.
