  • The Fall Festival at Kimglow Farms offers many exciting harvest and Halloween activities for all ages during the next two weekends (October 25/26 & November 1/2) from 11am to 5pm. If your kids are old enough for some very spooky Halloween fun, take the family out to experience Night Terrors on the evenings of October 24, 25, 31 and November 1 (from 7 - 10pm). There are three terrifying attractions that will draw crowds from near and far: 1) Hayride of Horror; 2) Barn of Fear; 3) Ghostly Corn maze.

The Creative Art Party taking place at the Renaissance School of the Arts on October 28 from 10 to 11:45am is a great place to dress up and celebrate Halloween for 3 to 5 year olds. There will be games, music and a photo opportunity! Kids will be creating a 'keepsake' ghostly trick or treat bag and a Halloween 'Scream' jack-o-lantern painting, and decorating a 'Freaky Face' pumpkin or gourd to take home! For more information please call 519-240-7477 or email dana@renaissanceschoolofthearts.com. Make sure to pre-register by October 24.

Here are some other events to consider:
  • Halloween Cooking events at the RCSS Cooking School
  • Heritage Haunted Barn at J. Steckle Heritage Homestead
  • Various Halloween activities and events at local libraries and community centres
  • Halloween Carnival at RIM Park (organized by the Block Parent Program)
  • The Halloween Fright Night Party at The Art Studios in Uptown Waterloo
  • A Halloween Party at the recently opened Busy Bees Playground
To find out more about these and other Halloween events & activities please visit the kwkids.com Halloween page!

And before the harvest season is completely over, support our local farmers by visiting one of the nearby farms to pick out your own pumpkin and find your way through at least one corn maze!
