More than twenty-five historic buildings, costumed interpreters, period furnishings, rare breed farm animals, heritage gardens, and demonstrations of daily chores help visitors discover an exciting era of change in Canadian history. Complimentary guidebooks are available in English, German, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Braille, and large-print. Hi! I'm a professor from Wilfrid Laurier University and I'm recruiting families who are interested in taking part in a cross-cultural study of how 7- to 8-year-olds learn things. Children do something fun (like listening to stories and making puzzles) and then take some simple memory tests.
You will receive a small transportation cost ($10), and the children are given a free toy at each session. The study takes place in the Child Memory Lab at Wilfrid Laurier University (at King and University). We are currently looking for 40 7- to 8-year old children (20 of Asian ethnicity and 20 of non-Asian ethnicity) for a 5-session study on the very important topic of children's memory.
